While it is not as good as Abol, it certainly was good enough to warrant getting food from there again.

I had wanted to get the vegetarian steak sandwich, but, 1) it was not on the new menus, though it was still on the big menu on the wall, and 2) the kid at the counter had never heard of it, until I pointed to the wall menu, and 3) they didn't have it that night. It might have been a failed experiment.

The people running the place are very nice. They gave me extra injera for free (smart p.r.) and the place is huge, with an upstairs dining room and store, and backyard dining. Alas, they told me they have no plans to introduce beer or wine to the menu, so I think for myself it will always be a take-out place.Springvale Roadernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4859602159294908902.post-79529353326785203312009-08-28T14:51:37.111-04:002009-08-28T14:51:37.111-04:00Ian S - Try Woodside Deli up Georgia Ave across fr...Ian S - Try Woodside Deli up Georgia Ave across from Sniders.

Glad to se someone is using that Roeder Rd space is kinda tucked in there and was a shame it was empty so long.WashingtonGardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03950523974356540767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4859602159294908902.post-13091839350682786812009-08-27T11:27:57.094-04:002009-08-27T11:27:57.094-04:00The food here is excellent. The staff is very friendly and willing to make suggestions and explain what I'm about to eat, something that I found was lacking at Langano. Plus, they're right across the street from my apartment, so convenience is a plus in my book. I'm just mad because I had always pegged that location as perfect for a NY deli type place, which I was more than willing to open if I had the cash. Anybody know of such a place in the DTSS area?ian.swankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00019662533544218459noreply@blogger.com
